What happens after registering?
You have submitted your registration form to the compensation office. What happens now?
I have already registered. What now?
Each activity has its own specific characteristics. This means that every case has to be assessed individually taking account of the circumstances. Your compensation office will examine everything very carefully; this may take some time. The office will contact you with any questions.
Notification of the decision by the office
As soon as the compensation office has completed the examination you will receive the decision – generally in writing by post.
If the office declines to accept the registration for self-employment, you will receive a full statement of reasons for the decision. You will then be deemed to be engaged in employment when carrying out the activity in question, and your employer will have to pay AHV contributions for you.
