If you complete the form provided on the website, you will be forwarded to the website of the Central Compensation Office (CCO). 2. Data processing in relation to the website

Whenever our website is used, data are generated, which are stored in log files (including in particular technical data). We may also use cookies and similar technologies to recognise website visitors upon subsequent visits, to assess your behaviour and to identify preferences (essential cookies). These cookies are stored on the basis of Article 31(1) DSG or, insofar as applicable, point (c) of Article 6(1) GDPR (legitimate interest: ensuring website operation). A cookie is a small file transmitted from the server to your system, which enables a particular device or browser to be recognised in the event of a subsequent visit. You can configure your browser to reject, accept or delete these cookies automatically. You can also disable or delete specific individual cookies.

As a general rule, neither the technical data collected by us nor cookies contain any personal data. However, personal data stored by third party providers instructed by us or by you (e.g. if you have a user account with these providers) may be cross-referenced with the technical data or with the information stored in and obtained from cookies, and thus potentially with you as an individual.

We also use our own tools alongside services of third-party providers (which may themselves use cookies) on our website, in particular in order to improve the functionality or content of our website or to generate statistics. We will ask you to consent to the usage of any non-essential cookies, in particular in relation to usage of Google Analytics. The legal basis for this is consent pursuant to Article 31(1) DSG or, insofar as applicable, point (a) of Article 6(1) GDPR.

We currently use services from the following providers, the contact details of which and further information concerning specific data processing by which may be obtained in the respective privacy policy:

3. Data disclosure

We process and store your data mainly in Switzerland, although depending upon the circumstances, e.g. via subcontractors of our service providers, potentially in any country around the world.

If data are transmitted to a foreign country, we ensure that the receiving country has laws that guarantee adequate data protection. Under the terms of the Annex to the Data Protection Ordinance [DSV], US companies certified according to the DPF have an adequate level of data protection. If the receiving country does not have any laws that guarantee adequate data protection, we ensure data protection through other measures, in particular by agreeing upon the modernised EU standard contractual clauses (Article 16(2)(d) DSG or, insofar as applicable, point (c) of Article 46(2) GDPR).

In some cases, usage of the above-mentioned tools provided by Google may involve the transmission of data to the USA. Any transmission of data to the USA occurs on the basis of the modernised EU standard contractual clauses. Further information can be obtained on the following page: https://business.safety.google/controllerterms/sccs/. Google is also certified according to the “EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework” as well as the “Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework”. These privacy agreements offer adequate protection for the transmission of personal data to certified US companies. Further information can be obtained from the provider on the following page: https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/s/participant-search/participant-detail?contact=true&id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active and https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/list.

4. Retention and erasure of data

We process data for as long as we require them for the above-mentioned purposes.

We erase any data that are no longer required, unless a statutory retention obligation or other overriding interests require otherwise.

5. Data security

We adopt appropriate technical and organisational measures to guarantee the security of your data.

6. Your rights

With regard to any data processing in relation to the website, you have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not we are processing data concerning you, as well as the right to erasure, the right to rectification, and where applicable the right to data portability. You also have the right to object in accordance with Article 30(2)(b) DSG or, insofar as applicable, Article 21 GDPR. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority, insofar as applicable to you. These rights are available except insofar as precluded by any obligations or legitimate interests of our own.

If you have provided consent to us, you can withdraw it at any time with future effect.
